A Chinese Naval Hospital docks in Peru, South America to provide free procedures for over 2,000 patients for its first, seven day visit.

The humanitarian mission is one that should be exemplified as a great use of military assets. It is also a part of a three-month mission, with visits scheduled to the US, Mexico, Australia, Grenada and Barbados.

China’s Peace Ark made its first ever call at the port of Callao outside Peru's capital of Lima on Monday. The 229-meter-long floating hospital has 500 beds, carries 118 medical professionals and has 300 beds and eight operating rooms.
