Skype Releases a Real-Time Translation Feature

Skype Translator released a preview just over a year ago in partnership with Microsoft Translator, and have finally pushed towards releasing it to the public. This is a great step towards closing the global communications barrier.

Now, nobody should be afraid to contact someone halfway across the world via Skype. To enable Skype Translator today, Skype for Windows customers click on the globe in the upper right hand corner of the app (shown below).

Through voice-to-voice translation, Skype for Windows customers can now speak in seven languages: Chinese Mandarin, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Through text-to-text translation, our customers can now write in over 50 instant message languages.
